Casualty  Investigate unmanned inflatable

The Inshore Lifeboat crew were paged by Humber Coastguard at 15.46 to investigate an unmanned inflatable that the local RNLI lifeguards had been watching. The ILB launched with helmsman A Trower in command and was alongside the inflatable within 4mins of leaving the beach. It was established that the inflatable belonged to a boat and had been put at anchour while not in use. The ILB returned to station. The Lifeboat was refueled and ready for service by 16.05.

Casualty  Vessel broken down and aground

The Inshore Lifeboat crew were paged by Humber Coastguard at 12.42 to launch to go to the assistance of a vessel aground with engine failure on the North Beach. The ILB launched with Helmsman Stu Tibbett in command and made the 5 min passage to the casuality. Once on scene a tow was estabilished and the vessel was re floated and towed to Belvedere boat launch site. The ILB returned to station. The Lifeboat was refueled and ready for service by 14.15.

Casualty  Report of a vessel in trouble. 

Crew A Trower, Jase Webber, S Brow Tractor  S Hayes

The Inshore Lifeboat crew were paged by Humber Coastguard at 11.19 to launch to go to the assistance of a vessel 1 mile out from the station thought to be in trouble. Once on scene it was established that all was ok with the Jet ski and the owners were fishing. The ILB returned to station. The Lifeboat was refueled and ready for service by 12.00.

05) Boat ALB 

Date 05/05/09 - Time 16.02 - Wind S5 - Sea Choppy - Visibilty Good -Duration 3 Hour

Casualty  Tow a Yacth to Bridlington. 

Crew S Mckie, S Tibbett, G Walkington, Jase Webber, A Trower, A Day  Tractor  K Smith

The All Weather Lifeboat crew were paged by Humber Coastguard at 16.02 to assist a yacht in diffuculty off Flamborough Head. The lifeboat launched with coxswain S Mckie in command .The passage to the yacht took 50mins. A tow was past at the 2nd attempt and the 2 hour tow back to Bridlington commenced. The yacht was safely alongside Bridlington Harbour at 19.00 The Lifeboat was refueled and ready for service by 20.00.

04) Boat ILB 

Date 02/05/09 - Time 10.56 - Wind W3 - Sea Calm - Visibilty Good -Duration 15 mins

Casualty  2 Children blown out to sea in a inflatable dinghy.

The Inshore Lifeboat crew were paged by Humber Coastguard at 10.56 to launch to a dinghy been blown out to sea with 2 children in. The lifeboat launched with S Tibbett at the helm. The lifeboat was alongside the dinghy within 3 minutes of launching. The 2 very cold and distressed children were transfered into the ILB by crewman C Brompton and returned to shore the ILB then recovered the inflatable. The Lifeboat was refueled and ready for service by 11.15.

Date 25/04/09 - Time 19.20 - Wind N/A - Sea Choppy - Visibilty Good -Duration 1 Hour

Casualty  Tow a Yacth to Bridlington.

The All Weather Lifeboat crew were paged by Humber Coastguard at 19.20 to assist a yacht in diffuculty off Flamborough Head. The lifeboat launched with coxswain S Mckie in command .The yacht was taken under tow to Bridlington been safely alongside at 20.30 The Lifeboat was refueled and ready for service by 21.30.

Casualty  Recover Body.

The Inshore Lifeboat crew were paged by Humber Coastguard at 16.25 to assist Humberside Police in recovering a body. The ILB and crew recovered the body and returned to station.  The Lifeboat was refueled and ready for service by 17.45.

Casualty  Distressed Person

The Inshore Lifeboat crew were paged by Humber Coastguard at 23.14 to assist Humberside Police with a distressed person. The ILB launched with helmsman S Tibbett in command and took up postion 200yards off the North pier. The person was talked down after 30mins by Humberside Police.  The Lifeboat then returned to station and was refueled and ready for service by 00.20.
